The young Italian baritone Simone Balducci has been a student at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatorio in Florence since 2020 under the tutelage of Nemi Bertagni (voice) and Antonella Bellettini (musical preparation).<\/p>

Simone belongs to a rare breed of baritones whose dark, resonant voices and personal stature are perfectly suited to the dramatic operas of Verdi and Puccini.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Simone\u2019s talent was recognised when he was awarded outright winner of the Franco Mosca National Competition for Operatic Voices in Pisa in 2023.<\/p>

Performances as Giorgio Germont in La Traviata,\u00a0 <\/span>Rigoletto in Verdi\u2019s opera, Baron Scarpia in Tosca and Puccini\u2019s Messa di Gloria have brought him further acclaim.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

He just doesn\u2019t produce artisan clothing, but adds another dimension to the world of intelligent, aesthetic and well- considered fashion. Mariano took over the family tailoring firm at the very young age of 18 in 1961 after his father died. He learned one might say, by doing. His eye for a good profile, the way clothing should enhance the \u2018bella figura\u2019 of a client, and the informed advice he provided, continued the fine tradition embodied in the Rubinacci name. His father, who had started the firm in 1930, had been sartorial arbiter to Neapolitan society, and decided to start producing clothing for his friends and acquaintances, importing the finest wools and silks. Mariano and now his son Luca, continue this tradition. His other children too are involved intimately with the house of Rubinacci. Just like his father before him, Mariano has tailored the most beautiful clothing for a virtual who\u2019s who of the world of the arts, culture and politics. Mariano is a proud Neapolitan. He feels in his being a Neapolitan wherever he is. The Neapolitan tradition of fine tailoring and style is what he seeks to bring to the wider world. To quote Mariano himself, \u2018Leaving Naples to stay in Naples. Selling Naples throughout the world. This is one of my greatest aspirations. Today February 25, 2025 is the birthday of the legendary Neapolitan tenor Enrico Caruso, who for nearly all tenors, including myself Gyaan Lyon, regard as the pinnacle of voice, technique and artistry.\u00a0<\/p>

Today is also the second anniversary of The Voice Detective Show. Bogdan Volkov is no stranger to all the leading international\u00a0 <\/span>opera houses. His fine tenor voice reminiscent of the greats in line and tonal beauty has assured him his place as one of the of the most sought after tenors of his generation.<\/p>

After graduating from the Glier Kyiv Institute of Music and the Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music, Bogdan joined the Young Artists Program of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow later becoming a member of it ensemble.<\/p>

Before becoming part of the ensemble of the Berlin State Opera in 2022 and 2023, Bogdan had made his debut at the Berlin State Opera as Don Antonio in Prokofiev\u2019s Betrothal in a Monastery under Daniel Barenboim in 2019.<\/p>

The Salzburg Festival in 2024 saw his portrayal of Prince Myshkin highly acclaimed in Weinberg\u2019s multi-award winning premiere of The Idiot. For this role he was nominated for the Austrian Music Theatre Prize, named Discovery of the Year and awarded the Best Vocal Performance in a leading role by the German magazine Der Opernfreund and recognized as Singer of the Year by Opernwelt.\u00a0<\/p>

Recent seasons have brought him major acclaim as Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni and Ferrando in Cosi fan tutte at the Vienna State Opera where he recently celebrated his 50th performance in a variety of leading roles.<\/p>

Successes as Tamino in Die Zauberfl\u00f6te, Alfredo in La Traviata at the State Opera of Berlin, as Lensky in Eugene Onegin at the Teatro Real in Madrid and the State Opera of Hamburg, Ferrando in Christof\u2019s Loy\u2019s new staging of Cosi fan tutte, presented at the the centenary edition of the Salzburg Festival have put Bogdan firmly on the vocal map and consolidated his position as a singer actor of recent times not to be missed.<\/p>
