You will have read my story which I will continue for you now in the form of a very long and detailed stream of conscious about my journey as an explorer and dreamer in the pursuit of unlocking my voice, it’s mysteries, it challenges, it’s elusiveness, it’s diculties, it blossoming and the joy and purpose it gives my life. I am one of these people that think that many ways lead to Rome, there is the tried and tested well trodden roads which might suit the so called ‘ natural’ voices who seem to come into the world with perfectly formed voices (makes you wonder, doesn’t it when you hear some of the precocious children singing like adults, whether maybe they have been here before!) Regardless, it does seem that some people have more aptitude and talent than others. I have my own theories on why this happens which I will most probably touch upon over time. But suce to say, I am not one of these natural singers, I have had to draw di erent resources as a singer with physical disabilities to unravel the blockages in that I could then start to understand and travel the more well traveled paths. Rather like a golfer who has to build their own clubs, (which they did in the early days of golf) before they could ever even contemplate the swing. In one way it has been a blessing because it has sent me out in the world to discover other ways and means, other roads to reach my destination to overcome my limitations and may it be that my work and detective work has some value to you too!

Gyaan’s Vocal Tips will put into practice the practical tips pertaining to what I have written about. Some things will be known to many but it is important not to assume otherwise something valuable could be missed out on. Even if my musings and information is known to you, their could be a little nugget of information that could make a di erence or lead on to you finding something valuable and meaningful to you at this point in time. But mostly I wish you en joy ment from what I write, if I can provide a flicker of inspiration and a smile on your face (much better expression for singing by the way) on your own vocal journey, my purpose has been served.
